Here we are, at the end of 2015, and the show is still here! I am still on the "whenever" schedule, but "Online Video" retains its title at the longest running web series in the history of the internet.
I have thought now and then about making different episodes, with different people in them in a somewhat different format, but haven't found anyone worthy of playing opposite me in an episode yet. We'll see what happens.
Lately I have thought of different ways to promote the website and webshow. Got to do something about that.

Time for the once a year post, since other people inexplicably don't post here.
In recent news, I successfully returned to Los Angeles for a year, and achieved.... SOME of my goals, then my girlfriend and I decided to get married, and as a result of that I had to move back to Pittsburgh again. I really enjoyed the time in Los Angeles. Married life is good, too.
As far as new episodes go, everything is still on the "whenever" schedule. Don't be afraid to email me with comments and ideas for the show, I get some emails now and then, but a lot of people are really missing out by not being more involved with this site and show.
Episode #176 will be coming out in the next few weeks, I just have to film some talking scenes and cut it all together.

I don't wear only blue shirts, watch more than one episode. Start with #39.
I have filmed my cross country trip from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, it'll be the subject of the next episode.

Hey everyone, Tim here. This show is now over 9 years old and still going!
I've been watching the numbers on this site lately for views and bandwidth, and it has slowed quite a bit. I need to get out and promote it more.
I have slowed down the episode production, but I am still making them now and then. I have plans for #170 in my head, I just have to get around to filming it.
I'm officially placing the production of new episodes on a "whenever" schedule. Which means, they will be made... whenever. No more regular weekly or monthly stuff.
One thing that has always disappointed me about this site and show is that people for the most part never seemed to understand how truly unique and special it is. At the time this show started in 2003, there was no YouTube, MySpace, or Facebook. Even broadband internet access was not anywhere near as universal as it is now.
And with other websites and smartphones and things like that, making it easy for any moron to upload a video, it really devalues the excellence of my episodes here. Yes, there's no real production values, but the general concept was quite unique in 2003, and it is all too common now. So people don't appreciate it as much as they should. And with today's "I want it now" society, it's hard to make them understand what they are missing by not seeing the videos here and really thinking about the episodes. Some people just don't get it, and there's nothing you can do for them.
And this message board never had much activity, and I never understood that part, even my critics never wrote much here.
Anyway, I am still here, and I still have a lot to say about the right and wrong way to do things, so I'll keep making my episodes. I think about making a new type of show that involves other people, as I have seen other web series that were like that and they did very well. Having multiple people on camera vs. a one man show does open up a lot of new possibilities. Then I think about having to write episodes, deal with other people, film while taking other people's schedules into account... and it's very easy to say "It's not worth the effort". Although if I find a situation that works I may do it.
I have thought about releasing videos straight to YouTube, and I might do that, but the whole point of the site is for people to come HERE. And I'll never RSS feed anything, if people are too lazy to click to this site, that's their problem and their loss.
Someone needs to have this site in an internet archive of some sort, as it is still a very unique type of site even in today's internet world.
So keep watching the episodes and bring new people here, there's a lot of good stuff in these videos and more to come!

Actually, my HTML programming is pretty darn tight. At least, it WAS, back in 2002 when I was writing the code for the pages. At that time, other people in my HTML class hated frames but I had no problem getting them to work right, and I checked my site's output in both Internet Explorer and Netscape to make sure it displayed correctly. I threw in some keywords at the time, but they need to be updated also.
Now you're throwing new terminology at me. Page Ranks? DOC type? Serp?
Back when I made the site, lots of people had dial up, so I kept the code as simple as possible for fast loading. Now, I'm of the opinion that anyone with dial-up needs to quit being so cheap and get some sort of broadband, except for the rare few here and there who do not have broadband available (get a cell phone link, satellite, or something in that case).
I'll look into changing things a bit, I've thought about it but haven't been really motivated to try anything. Now that I tried the page rank search thing for myself and see I'm a 1 out of 10, I'd like to try and get up to a 3 or so!

I'm working now, making cash on the side. Haven't met anyone famous or significant out here yet, but then again I haven't gone out of my way to look very hard, either.
This show isn't ending, I'm just maintaining a steady schedule of episode releases. I could make episodes about a lot of places out here if I wanted to be a tour guide, but that's not for me.
Next episode will be filmed in the next couple days and added to the list.

One episode per week was good, but I don't think I'll ever get back that frequency of episodes. Why not? Doing this and that out here, laziness, World of Warcraft, having to think up new episode ideas, working the whole thing alone, etc.
I've been keeping new releases at a pretty steady 2 month interval, and yes, that's kind of long between episodes. I've been thinking of trying to get back in the one month range. I've got a few episode ideas for filming but have to get other people involved for most of them.
That should be much easier to do out here, I just need to advertise on certain specific websites for it.
Biggest thing is to avoid burnout, which I don't want to do. I was a bit concerned when tbdcast announced 2 episodes per week, the first thing I thought is that burnout can happen easily like that.
My last episode came out on July 4th, so anything sooner than September 4th would be an improvement in my schedule. I think I can try for a mid-August release on the next episode. I need to get some ads out and see what sort of response I get.

The new episode is still on the way, I waited a few more days because the emails kept coming from the scam artists, and I'm writing back and dragging it out as much as I can.
This is fun, messing with them like this! ;D

That episode is meant as a wake up call for kids getting out of high school or college. The liberal education system is dumbing down kids these days, and it's trying to take out the winners and losers and keep everyone the same.
Some schools are making policies against giving kids failing grades because it may hurt their self esteem, or every team playing a sport at school may each get a trophy even if they came in dead last.
The real world doesn't work like that. Some people win and some fail. And no one is there to make everything even for everyone.
This country is headed towards socialism, which is not good. I found some good google search results on college professors conducting experiments in their classes. Long story short, the whole class failed when they agreed to have everyone's test score averaged together. The A students quit studying because they wouldn't get the grade they deserved, and the D students quit studying because they thought the A students would bring them a higher grade.

I'm doing some things out here. Been searching for a job but the job market is terrible. I've met some people but nothing special so far. My apartment (in North Hollywood) is fine.
I was going to do #156 about one thing, but I may do it about another instead. I've been getting some rip-off scam emails lately, and I've been playing dumb and stringing them along on it, it's been fun!
So look for #156 around the end of the month, give or take a few days!
As for the episodes not playing, on a couple computers that I had Windows XP and Windows Media Player 9 on, when trying to download & play a video from the site, it would play about 1 second and stop. I tried on a laptop I have that is running the beta of Windows 7, and they played fine. Not sure what the problem is with that, the Windows Media Player 9 always played them fine and they are encoded in Windows Movie Maker to play in Windows Media Player 9.

Yes, I have 2 80's now. An 80 Dwarf Hunter, and an 80 Holy Paladin who does raid healing.
I mess around with my other lower level characters some, but nothing regular.
